Thiago Silva has reportedly not been included in Chelsea’s travelling squad for their Champions League clash against Krasnodar.
Silva joined the Blues on a free transfer earlier this summer following the expiry of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, where he spent eight seasons.
The Brazilian had a forgettable debut against West Bromwich Albion where his defensive blunder contributed to one of the goals in the 3-3 draw.
He has, however, redeemed himself in the games which have followed and recently made key interceptions in the 0-0 draw at Manchester United.
According to Goal.com, Silva is not with the travelling group for Wednesday’s clash with manager Frank Lampard making the decision to rest him.
Elsewhere, Marcos Alonso will definitely miss the European meeting as he completes his three-game suspension for his red card against Bayern Munich last term.
